52 Weeks of Prayer for Belize…Week #6 Praise the Lord!

10/01/2015

Jude 20-21New International Version (NIV)

20 But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

Life on this side of heaven is challenging!  I guess that is why the Lord reminds us that we must continue to “build” ourselves up in Him!  When I pray, I often hear the Holy Spirit saying: “Don’t give up, Gina…keep going!”  Oh, believe me, there are lots of days when I am tempted to quit!  Weariness and discouragement can get a grip on us and again, that is why the Lord cheers us on and tells us to “build” ourselves up!

I have a special prayer concern today.  After spending the last 4 days with my two young granddaughters, I am physically exhausted.  I realize that grandparents don’t have the stamina that we did when we were young parents.  As I have been contemplating this, I am thinking of Pastor Ron and Linda who are parents to young children in Belize.  Please join me in praying for them today:

Prayer:  Lord, please bless Pastor Ron and Linda with stamina, patience, provision as they continue to care for these young Belizean children.  Surround them with a strong prayer shield made up of those that love them and these children.  Bless and strengthen their marriage and their home.  In Jesus’ Name, AMEN

HUGE PRAISE:  After 3 years and lots of prayers, Pastor Ron and Linda have received their Belizean nationality papers!

Here is what Pastor Ron said in his recent email:

As I returned to Belize Thursday, Linda was at the immigration department in response to a call from them on Wednesday. She needed to pay the fee for Nationalization on Thursday, come early Friday to process the paperwork, and in the afternoon on Friday the swearing of new Citizens would take place. So, after a month of traveling, I did not get any time on Friday to prepare for the arrival of a team to build a house starting Monday. But we did get our papers. We are officially Belizean Citizens! We applied three years ago…. Finally! What a great moment for us. We do keep our U.S. Citizenship and passport, as well as now being able to obtain a Belizean Passport. This is huge for us. We are so thankful to The Lord for this Blessing.
