Wow! God is good!

Hi friends who love Belize and the Braatens!

God has answered your prayers in miraculous ways! In my last post, I shared that our friends in Belize want to adopt a beautiful little boy. As you have prayed, donations for 2/3 of the cost of the adoption have come! Thank You, Jesus! Please continue to pray that this adoption can be completed soon! Wow! God, You are SO GOOD!

I wanted to let those of you who live in the USA that our National Day of Prayer is May 4, 2023. If you live outside the USA, would you join us our National Day of Prayer as we intercede for our Nation. There are many things that are trying to polarize us and the Church here. But I think we’d all agree that the USA is in some trouble and needs our prayers. If you need ideas on how to pray, please visit our national website.

A Belize “fun fact”:

The country’s most exotic delicacy is the gibnut rodent, also known as the “royal rat” because it was once served to Queen Elizabeth. EWWW!

A scripture and prayer:

Psalm 100:1-3 “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs.
 Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.”

Prayer: Lord, THANK YOU for YOUR GOODNESS! Thank you for this provision for a family to give a little boy a forever family. You are good! As we continue to pray for Belize, Oasis Ministry and our friends, the Braatens, pour out YOUR JOY on this ministry! Refresh and Renew we ask in Jesus’ Name! Amen!

“Joy is the very heart of God’s plan for human beings. He knows that we are aching for joy. He wants us to have the joy of knowing Him and being in His presence. Praise is one way that God gives us His joy. Praise gives rise to joy because praise makes God real to us!” ~Alvin Vandergriend in The Joy of Prayer

Please continue in prayer for Ron and Linda:

*for a bold proclaiming of the gospel through Oasis Ministry

*for more help for both Ron and Linda

*for wisdom for raising the children currently living in the OM house

*for more teams for Belize

*for a new shuttle bus

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING! Gina

Hello, friends who love Oasis Ministry and our friends, the Braatens. After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, Stan and I were able to get back into Belize to spend time with our dear friends. We took our friend, Linda, from Laramie with us and she was a great blessing to us and the Braatens.

It is so wonderful to see Oasis ministry still actively ministering to children in need there and serving in many other ways. Belize still has so much need, and I’m always overwhelmed by how big the need is. But Oasis Ministry continues to pray and bless the people of Belize.

While I was in Belize, our friend Tiffany Middleton, shared a special prayer request with me. She and her husband, Quinton, and their son, Jaleel have been fostering a sweet boy named Travis. The Middletons want to give Travis a forever family and Tiffany asked me to pray that he would come up for adoption. I had no sooner added this to my prayer list than the NEXT DAY, Tiffany came back with good news. The social worker decided that it was time for Travis to be put up for adoption! Wow! What a quick and huge answer to prayer!

I believe with all my heart that Quinton, Tiffany and Jaleel are to be Travis’ forever family. It is quite costly to adopt in Belize and we feel we should ease some of the burden. I’d ask you to pray for supernatural provision for this miracle to unfold.

If you feel led to join us in giving, you can do so in two ways:
