A personal prayer request:  Thank you for praying for Belize this month.  What a powerful time!  In the midst of praying for the Belize, the Lord has opened big doors for me this past week.  I have an invitation from the Governor and 1st Lady of our State to pray with them in the Gov’s office on Monday, March  5, 2pm MST.  Please pray for wisdom, discernment, protection, holiness, friendship, power, trust, joy, peace, supernatural favor and open doors to pray for all of our State electeds.  I’m feeling very humbled, overwhelmed, even a bit afraid of this assignment.  But God has always put BIG things before me.  (I remember many years ago being very afraid of going into Belize)

Today’s scripture:

Isaiah 45:2-3  New International Version (NIV)

2 I will go before you
and will level the mountains[a];
I will break down gates of bronze
and cut through bars of iron.
3 I will give you hidden treasures,
riches stored in secret places,
so that you may know that I am the LORD,
the God of Israel, who summons you by name.

Belize:  Lord, as you have opened doors  for  me (Gina)  to pray with our elected officials in our State,, I continue to pray for the Belizeans who have been faithful to pray at their Nation’s assembly.  Show them that their prayers are making a difference.  Your word tells us that “and the government will be on his shoulders” and we are trusting that some day soon You will come to truly rule and reign in power over Jerusalem and to the very ends of the world including Belize.   Help your Belizean laborers to remain faithful until the end.

Oasis Ministry: For Pastor Ron and other pastors in Belize who pray with elected officials.  Please pray for favor and more open doors and invitations to come and pray from the elected officials of Belize.

Today’s Scripture:

Isaiah 51:1  New International Version (NIV)

1 “Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness
and who seek the LORD:
Look to the rock from which you were cut
and to the quarry from which you were hewn;

Belize:   Lord, bless our brothers and sisters in Belize and help them to seek hard after You.  Give them ears to hear Your voice in these exceedingly difficult times.  Jesus, be their Rock for every need and every concern today.  Let them know that You are always there for them.  Inspire them with  the Heart of Heaven and equip them to bear much fruit.

Oasis Ministry: Lord, we pray that Oasis Ministry in Belize will be founded on Your truth, anointed with Your power and funded by Your people; we pray for a refreshed vision and encouragement upon our dedicated staff  (adapted from Seek God for the City 2010 by Waymakers)

Almost there!

Today’s scripture:

Jeremiah 9:23-24  New International Version (NIV)

23This is what the LORD says:

“Let not the wise boast of their wisdom
or the strong boast of their strength
or the rich boast of their riches,
24 but let the one who boasts boast about this:
that they have the understanding to know me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,”
declares the LORD.

Belize: Please pray for the men of Belize; that they seek God and honor Him, for their identity to be centered in Christ-like servant leadership; that the vision of their lives would be to serve and advance God’s purposes.  (adapted from Seek God for the City 2011 from Waymakers)

Oasis Ministry: Praise God for the dedication of house #62.  Pray for the team that completed this project; that their lives would be forever transformed for Kingdom purposes because of their mission in Belize;  pray for the team from Matthews’ United Methodist Church March 5-12 led by Ben and Linda Icard; please pray for the OM Board as we prayerfully consider some new additions to our staff

Nope…I didn’t forget to post on Saturday, the 25th.  We were traveling in WY and were delayed by closed roads in two different places.  So we spent hours waiting in our vehicle for roads to open and finally crawled into our driveway in Laramie at about 3:30am on Sunday, 26th.  I had no internet service out there and very little cell service of any kind.  Glad to be home.  We will extend our challenge  for one day into March so that we have the full 29 days.  Thanks for praying!

Today’s scripture:

Romans 8:6  New International Version (NIV)

6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

For Belize: Please pray for the Body of Christ in Belize to become more and more mature so their lives are truly governed by the Holy Spirit.  Please pray for much fruit to be born by the Belizean Body of Christ.

Oasis Ministry: As a new week begins, pray for all the activities on the OM base.  For our preschool, mobile library, other projects.  Please pray for the kids of the OM house as they live and learn about Jesus.  Please pray for strength and stamina for Pastor Ron and Linda and OM staff members.

We had a great outreach event in Laramie, WY tonight.  To God be the glory!

Today’s Scripture:

John 10:10  New International Version (NIV)

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

For Belize:   The Lord needs laborers to tell the world that Jesus Christ is Lord.  Please pray that the Belizean Church  has a sense of urgency to tell those in their villages and districts that Jesus Christ is coming soon.  Please pray for great revival to come the Nation of Belize and for that spark to start revival throughout Central America

For Oasis Ministry:  Please pray for Pastor Ron as he prepares to minister in Sunday worship at Mt. Hope Bible Church.  Please also pray for the children’s ministry this weekend.  Pray again today for financial provision for all ministry and for God’s wisdom for every decision.

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for Belize and Oasis Ministry this month.  I believe that God is answering us.  Hard to believe we are already on day 23…

Today’s Scripture:    Acts 9:36  NKJV

This woman was full of good works and charitable deeds which she did.

For Belize:  Please pray that women in Belize will be honored in their unique glory as those created by God;  that injustice of every kind toward Belizean women will cease; for protection from sexual violence; that hope would be renewed for the beauty of marriage and children in the nation of Belize  ~Adapted from Seek God for the City 2010

For Oasis Ministry: Please pray for the ladies’ Bible Study at Mt. Hope Bible Church; for the ladies to grow strong in faith; to see the value in godly marital relationships; to be empowered to be godly mothers and wives; to have their financial needs met; ;to reach out to other women and to share the love of Jesus Christ

It is oh so windy in Wyoming.  I hope it is calmer where you are!

Today’s Scripture:

2 Chronicles 7:14  New International Version (NIV)

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

For Belize and the USA: The Lord says that if we do 4 things:  humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways,  He will do 3 things: hear us from heaven, forgive our sin and heal our lands.  Let’s pray for both Belize and the USA today.  Let’s pray that those of us who are called by His name in these two nations will do the 4 things so that He willl do the 3 things.  Perhaps the Lord can use Belize and the USA to spark revival in the rest of the world?  Why not?!

For Oasis Ministry: Please pray for the team that is with OM this week in Belize.  They are building house #62 (WOW!)  for Sylvia and her two children and are also  doing children’s programs in the schools.  Please pray for a life-changing experience for this team, for safety on the worksite, for unity among the team members and that many children will have a special touch from the Lord through this program.

Today’s Scripture:

Psalm 144:12,15  New International Version (NIV)

12 Then our sons in their youth
will be like well-nurtured plants,
and our daughters will be like pillars
carved to adorn a palace…
15 Blessed is the people of whom this is true;
blessed is the people whose God is the LORD.

For Belize:  Please pray for the youth of Belize to radically commit their lives to Christ; to make wise choices; for older mentors; for solid friendships with their peers who are following Jesus; for open communication with their families; for God’s intentions for their generation to come forth in fullest measure.  ~ based on Seek God for the City 2010

For Oasis Ministry: Please pray for Allison, Heather, Andrew and all others who are working with our youth at Mt. Hope Bible Church.  Pray for God’s wisdom for these young people; for fruitful worship and Bible Study times; for the youth drama team as they minister in Belize

Happy President’s Day to everyone in the US.  If you’ve had today off (we did) , I hope it was a restful day.

Today’s Scripture:

Romans 15:13  New International Version (NIV)

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

For Belize: People all over the world are looking for hope in a broken world.  Belizeans are no exception.  Please pray that all Belizeans will have the opportunity to hear the message of Good News about Jesus Christ and will receive Him as Lord and Savior.

For Oasis Ministry: Praise God that Pastor Ron and Linda have arrived safely back in Belize.  As they resume life on the OM Base, pray for strength and stamina to return quickly after their travels.  Pray for wisdom for all decisions that they face this week.

Today’s scripture:

James 4:6-10  New International Version (NIV)

6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”[a]

7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

For Belize: As we pray for revival for Belize and for our own USA, God says that He will begin with us.  Pray that all Christians in Belize and the USA will submit to God daily to receive His grace and strength to live in ways that bring glory to Him.  Pray that each of us are filled with His Spirit and that we fulfill our God-given destinies.

For Oasis Ministry: As Pastor Ron and Linda return to Belize tomorrow, please pray for traveling mercies.  Praise God for a great missions conference at Matthews’ United Methodist Church and for the tremendous support that this congregation gives to Oasis Ministry.
